Arrived in Gettysburg Sunday afternoon to light rain. We toured the Jennie Wade house. She was the only civilian casualty of The Battle of Gettysburg. She was shot by a stray bullet in the kitchen of her sisters house.<\/p>\n

They believe the bullet came from snipers in the Farnworth House down the road. Bullets in the brick of the house can still be seen.<\/p>\n

The snipers where shooting from the attic on the left side of the house.<\/p>\n

We did the National Parks guided tour of the Battlefield which is basically the whole town of Gettysburg. The tour was 2 hours long and traced the battle from July 1st to the 3rd of 1863.<\/p>\n

It was cloudy and rainy but still a fun tour. Below is Devil’s Den and a canon.<\/p>\n
